Overview
Across two silhouettes, the Air Jordan 10 and Air Jordan 12, each explored through multiple colorways, the OVO x Jordan Brand partnership began as a series of Player Exclusives  created exclusively for Drake and his inner circle.
These shoes existed first in private. Worn on stage, courtside, and during cultural moments as Drake ascended into global stardom, the product carried mystique through visibility without access. The design language remained consistent across both silhouettes, establishing a quiet uniform tied to presence rather than promotion.
As OVO grew into a fully established retail brand, the partnership gained a platform to evolve. What began as exclusivity transitioned into opportunity, allowing the footwear to move from private moments into public release.
Bringing the shoes to retail created space for expanded storytelling. Apparel systems were introduced to extend the narrative beyond the sneaker, giving audiences the chance to engage with the world around the product rather than the shoe alone. Releases were intentionally timed alongside major cultural moments including NBA All Star Weekend, OVO Fest, and key album cycles, reinforcing the connection between music, sport, and lifestyle.
My Role
My role focused on guiding that transition, translating Player Exclusive footwear into retail ready releases and shaping each drop as a complete system rather than a single product.
I partnered closely with Jordan Brand’s footwear, materials, and product teams to refine materials, color execution, finishes, and construction while preserving the original design language.
In parallel, I designed and developed the accompanying apparel capsules, translating cues from each silhouette into lifestyle product while keeping the sneaker as the anchor across retail.
I also defined the packaging direction across all releases, favoring restraint and OVO led branding over traditional Jordan presentation to create a unified visual system.

OVO x Air Jordan 10 (White)
Theme: Foundation
The White OVO x Jordan 10 release marked the partnership’s first public release. It established the framework that would guide every drop that followed.
The apparel reflected that foundation in practice. The offering was intentionally limited to a t-shirt and hat, allowing the sneaker to remain the focal point while extending its story through detail rather than volume.
The t-shirt revisited a 1990s screen print and embroidery combination, restoring depth and texture to the graphic. A woven label drawn from the Jordan 10 tongue was repurposed as a jock tag at the hem, carrying the sneaker’s identity into the garment. The back graphic referenced the Jordan 10 outsole timeline, translating performance history into wearable form.
The hat followed the same logic, aligned in finish and tone to maintain a cohesive system.

OVO x Air Jordan 10 (Black)
Theme: Uniform
The Black OVO x Jordan 10 pushed the partnership into a new phase. Debuting during NBA All Star Weekend 2016, the release marked the moment the collaboration expanded beyond a single sneaker and into a complete way of dressing.
The Jordan 10 remained the foundation, but the surrounding pieces introduced structure and depth, allowing Jordan heritage and OVO identity to live together across categories.

The apparel offering expanded into a complete capsule, including a velour tracksuit, sweatsuit, t shirts, headwear, and a duffel bag.
The velour tracksuit led the collection visually. Its stingray inspired texture, drawn directly from the Jordan 10, created an immediate material connection between footwear and apparel and signaled craft through surface and feel.
The sweatsuit followed as the foundation of the capsule. Rooted in OVO’s OG owl hoodie, it carried the brand’s earliest uniform into the Jordan partnership through fit, fabric, and presence rather than graphics.
Graphic execution referenced original Air Jordan 10 era language. Archival type and marks grounded the collection in Jordan history while presenting a modern, wearable expression.
Together, the capsule marked a clear evolution from footwear release to lifestyle system.

OVO x Air Jordan 12 (White)
Theme: Routine
The White OVO x Jordan 12 marked a shift from how athletes dress to how they live.
The focus moved beyond the moment of the game and into the repetition around it. Preparation. Recovery. The hours before and after that define real players.
Rather than building for spectacle, the collection centered on consistency. Product designed to be worn daily, shaped by rhythm, and grounded in the habits that surround the sport.
The Hydro slides were developed as a footwear extension of the Jordan 12, carrying its design language into recovery and everyday wear. That same language continued through the top loader backpack, using color and finish to connect the collection beyond the court. Sweatbands supported the routine, grounded in preparation and repetition rather than decoration.
Apparel extended the system. Hoodies, t-shirts, and core pieces were developed as a unified system built around the sneaker to support real on and off court routine.
The sweatsuit carried forward as a signature expression of the collaboration. Reintroduced in white, it maintained continuity across drops while allowing the story to evolve through context and styling. Graphics pulled directly from Jordan 12 heritage, translating heel tab references and classic layouts into wearable identity.
The result was a release grounded in athlete culture, designed to move fluidly between game, recovery, and everyday life.

OVO x Air Jordan 12 (Black)
Theme: Flow
The Black OVO x Jordan 12 capsule represented the partnership at its most refined.
Built for movement between environments without transition. Performance informed. Lifestyle refined. Product designed to carry the same presence whether training, moving through the city, or stepping out.
The capsule extended beyond the court through refined leisure, built for athletes moving fluidly between performance and everyday life.
The Wings Muscle Suit anchored the collection. Based on Jordan’s original warm up silhouette, it was reworked through engineered nylon, updated proportion, and modern construction. OVO’s Varsity O crest, first introduced on the brand’s early varsity jackets, connected the origins of both brands in a single expression.
Sweatsuits followed as a secondary layer, executed in heavier weight fabrication with a premium hand feel. A red colorway introduced controlled contrast, breaking from the established black and white palette while remaining grounded in Jordan DNA.
Graphic application carried forward Jordan 12 language across fleece sets, long sleeves, tees, a Dri Fit runner cap, and a top loader backpack. Fit, fabric, and finish defined the collection.
Impact
Across four global releases, the partnership evolved from singular moments into a cohesive product system. Continuity across footwear, apparel, and routine allowed the work to scale without losing focus.
The result established OVO’s ability to build ecosystems rather than one off launches, with product designed for longevity, not immediacy.
